AGM, Gel, VRLA (Valve regulated lead acid) batteries offer a great balance of long life and low cost for off grid solar storage applications.
 
Sun Arc is one of China's leading Solar storage, battery manufacturers for over 20 years. Their AGM, VRLA batteries use an absorbent glass matt between the cell plates allowing for a maintenance free battery that is less prone to sulfation than a standard flooded, lead acid battery.
 
They have a design float life (backup storage) of 12 years and cycling at 30% DOD (Depth Of Discharge) you can expect a life cycle of 1600-1800 cycles and with a 50% DOD around 700 cycles.
 
*All our battery warranties are conditional to evidence of correct installation and capacity for system. Any incorrectly installed battery with not enough capacity for the power usage or not enough charging capacity will degrade at a much higher rate.
